Welcome to Inky’s Fall HoneyPOP Blog Hop! I hope you have come from Crystal’s blog . If so you are in the right place! :)Thanks to Jackie & all the other Inky Designers for letting me "guest hop" along with them today, it's an honor I cherish!
The blog hop starts today and ends on Sunday, October 2nd at midnight Central time. Please visit each DT members’ blog to view their projects and leave a comment for each designer. The more you comment, the better your chances are to win. (Limit one comment per blog, please). One person’s name will be drawn at random to receive a fun Inky prize pack. The winner’s name will be announced on the Inky Antics blog next Monday, so remember to stop back and see if you’ve won.
Today, I used the Ice Cream Pup HoneyPOP Clear Set to create my card. I love how the card just looks like any old card...then SURPRISE! There's a 3-D element that POPS! out at the person who you have made it for! LOL
My second project is one that uses up SCRAPS of the Honey Comb Paper! I hate wasting anything so this project kinda just "happened". I had bits n pieces of the Ivory Honey Comb Paper Pad left on my work surface after a different project and so I kinda looked at them and thought...hmm I wonder if I can use these little things for something.... the following ornament was born! :) ( I have created a step by step tutorial so you have an idea of how I did mine, feel free to be creative and try out different bits and pieces....you never know what you will come up with!
So here's the finished ornament...
I apologize for the poor photography of it...it was hard to get it to really show up and really get the feel of just how fun this little thing is. I can just see a great "vintagey themed" Christmas tree bedecked with these little gems...and speaking of gems...next time I am going to see about adding a bit of bling and see how that works! So when you make yours, get creative! Let's see what you do with your bits n pieces!
I then stamped the cone image onto the pad itself using Tsukinkeo's London Fog Memento Ink. I didn't want the ink to show and sometimes it's hard to see VersaMark on lighter colored Honey Comb Paper Pads.
Here are my three pieces ready to be strung onto some Maraschino Twine from The Twinery.
I then punched two circles from cardstock and cut little snips all along the edge to create petals circles. I then placed one on top of the bell and strung on a sphere, then another cardstock circle & then the final sphere.
To finish off my ornament I tied a cute bow with long tails using sheer ivory ribbon. It added a touch of sparkle while still keeping the airy feel to the ornament! I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial.
Time to keep on hopping along to see what the Inky Designers have created for your viewing pleasure today! Your next stop will be True's blog. Have fun hopping along with us today!
