Wendy over at Hammermarks had posted a nifty challenge that fit perfectly with the Foldforming Face Book Group's Challenge for this month. Wendy's challenge was to make a bowl by Super Bowl Sunday. The Foldforming group has a challenge this month to create something useful inside the home or office using any fold forming technique. So being the "work smarter, not harder" girl that I am I combined the two and made my bowl in a mini size so that it would function as a soap dish! I LOOOOVE HOW IT CAME OUT!!
I started with a 5.25" round disc and then proceeded to foldform in one line fold and an air chased fold. I then opened the folds and forged the metal into a gentle dome. My hope was to create a unique soap dish and I am thrilled with how this turned out. The organic nature of foldforming is something I have just now started applying to pieces other than jewelry... enjoy.
