My kids don't really like to eat "butter eggs" as they are called in my house (hard boiled)...so I think I will substitute some delightful Cadbury eggs for my little ones... you could too! :)

I have been partnered with Kathy of Catherine's Dreams. I can't wait to see what she has created using the soup ingredients I sent to her!
When I first opened my package from Kathy my first thought was "Purple? I don't ever wear purple!" Then I to laugh when I realized I may not wear purple outfits, but I could create a jewelry piece that could go with black, gray, white...etc... LOL!!! So I decided to create using these beautiful woven covered beads. I love em! And I love how both of my pieces came out. Kathy sent me SO MUCH that I still have some items left over and will have to figure out what to make next! Thanks so much Kathy for making me think outside my colorzone and helping me to realize that true challenge is totally FUN!!!!

It's currently almost two in the morning...and I am finally in my studio making a mess...err I mean making some projects! LOL After having my fourth child I have found it very difficult to take time during the day to create, so I have been taking a few nights a month to pull some late ones and just create...just me, my projects, my thoughts and prayers... While it is tiring, it is also somehow very refreshing at the same time...
So this morning (what?? it's already morning!!!) I have my entry for the Clearsnap Out of the Colorbox Challenge #3 to share with you. Niki has chosen an AWESOME trio for this one! Check out her project for this combo, it pretty much ROCKS...I just wish it said "KERI" instead of "NIKI" LOL!!! Gotta love the POP factor, right? Here's the color combo!
For my card tonight I have used a BUNCH of stamps from Innovative Stamp Creations. My main BG image is from the Friends are Special stamp set and is stamped using Seattle Sky, I then tore a corner off of a sheet of copy paper and laid it onto the stamped panel and stamped the Netting background in Wicked Black right over top to create the dual layered torn look in the top right. I then stamped the sentiment again in Wicked Black. I then applied a French Swirl Design Adhesives to the bottom left and covered it with Top Boss Black embossing powder and heated it until it melted and settled. I added the ribbon and little bow, created by making a small loop then wrapping the center with Artistic Wire by Beadalon. I then used Citrus Tickle Smooch Spritz to alter some white paper flowers I had on hand....thereby bringing in the "lime pastel" aspect of the color challenge. :) I then embellished using a decor pin I created using an assortment of beads. I also stamped the little butterfly, cut it out, added a hint of Peridot Glitter and then spritzed it with the Citrus Tickle Smooch Sprtiz. Finally I created my butterfly's perch out of the same wire as I had wrapped the bow center with and adhered it to the card using a hint of hot glue. :) Okay, so after all that, are you ready to see this creation? Enjoy!!
I have been on a massive cleaning/reorganization spree...it started with the living areas of the house and somehow ended up in the studio! And I am happy and pleased to say, the studio is WONDERFULLY CLEAN....so clean in fact that I had a hard time figuring out what to create in it first! So I pulled out my jewelry kit with the intent to create something new and fresh...something different than my usual style..I think I have accomplished that with this necklace.
I have had this pendant for a LONG while...and just wasn't sure what to use it on...well it finally spoke to me and this was the end result. I am thrilled with it...it is so Earthy, organic and delish, isn't it?
Aaaaand I didn't get into the studio to create for the blog! I was working on magazine stuff and am still in the middle of it! LOL One more project to go and then I am done....
I am going to be at CHARLESTON SCRAPBOOKING today from 11:30 - 1:00 for Let's Do Lunch.

I love challenging myself to see how I can incorporate my love for stamping into other areas of my crafting. Recently I have fallen in love with creating jewelry...I mean head over heels in love with stepping outside the box and creating fun and unique jewelry pieces!!! Well tonight I was working with Italian Mesh Ribbon from Specialty Beads, and natural shell pendants...then I got the idea to "jazz it up" a bit by stamping onto the pendant! Don't you just love it? I used my new set from Layers of Color - Touch of Elegance. This set is so very versatile, I can tell it will be in my "often reached for" arsenal from here on. I chose some coordinating Swarovski Crystals and Pearls to add a bit of sparkle and shine, and finally chain and findings by Beadalon! Can't go wrong with that line up, can ya?
Okay so let's talk techniques. First of all, you need Stazon ink from Tsukineko for this project. I also highly recommend having a paper towel moistened with alcohol nearby. First clean the surface of your pendant with the alcohol. Next ink your image using Jet Black Stazon and stamp it onto the pendant. Remove CAREFULLY and set aside to dry. If your image doesn't come out how you had hoped simply wipe it clean before it has a chance to dry and start over. It's as simple as that! Enjoy my newest jewelry set titled "Seaside Serendipity"!
