Seeing Stars...still...

Tonight is the Gina K Designs Design Team Challenge blog hop. Tami asked if a few of us would like to contribute using her new set Stars. I am still loving this set and so how could I refuse??? The theme for the blog hop is "Favorite Summer Memories". One of my favorite things about summer is all the extra time I get to spend with my friends...well that and all the fresh fruits and veggies you can eat! I loved that Tami took the time to put really nifty quotes and sentiments with this set. You can never have enough quotes about GREAT FRIENDS!!!

I know how much you have enjoyed this new set from Tami Mayberry's newest release with Gina K Deisgns - Stars. So I thought I would do up atleast one more fun little card to share with you! I decided to do a bit of distressing on this one...isn't it neat how you can go from totally clean like this card to a grungy card like this one??? Enjoy!

You may recall my first card using her sets - Happy Holiday Postage. There are alot more images that can be used in these sets but I love this fun little snowflake so I have another Holiday Postage style card! HAHAH

How ya like dem apples?

I love this time of year...it always makes me feel all warm and snuggly to have fresh picked apples, cider, fall foliage and the change of seasons....well here in SC we have yet to really see any change...it is almost the end of September and today I wanted to just go to the beach! I was so hot outside...ah well...so I decided it's time to bring all things Autumn to my studio! :) So here is a fun little card that uses some October Afternoon papers, A is for Apple stamp set by Renaissance By Design, Prism cardstock and Ribbon Tags Trio 2 By Spellbinders. :) Now if only I could add cinnamon apple scent to this card and my blog post somehow... LOL Enjoy~

Today is the first day....

Of the two day JustRite Font MEGA Blog Hop!!!  You really need to check out all of these amazing projects so far! WOWZERS!!!!!!

I have created a card to go with my project for tomorrow morning that I thought I would share with you tonight...you know...to kinda whet your appetite...get you in the mood to come back tomorrow to see the gift that goes with it!!! :) I was beginning to get a bit freaked out because I need to get this project done and loaded ready to run by eight am tomorrow...so I decided to just get out of the house and get a change of mindset... :) Well I went to the local scrap store Charleston Scrapbooking (over on Rivers Ave in N Charleston for all you locals) and I got inspired... :) I had seen lots of these materials online at Jacksonbelle Embellishments and had placed an order for it all just this morning but just couldn't wait for it to get here so I picked up a bit while I was out today. Tee hee hee isn't that bad??? But anyway, the papers are from the new Pink Paislee line - Amber Road, the ribbon is May Arts, and the pearls are from Prima. I used the Trompe Upper Case font for the "JOY", stamping it on Butter Cream Prismatics cardstock and then die cut using Labels Five Nestabilities die templates from Spellbinders... I thought it all came out nicely... :) Be sure to check out the rest of the hop! There is candy being given away and all sorts of fun so check it all out!!! :)  I hope you enjoy!

FINALLY!! A Super Stampy Card :)

MONTHS ago I had a group of friends over to stamp...we had all gone to a stamp convention in January and they had purchased these really neat Faux Postage Templates & Stamps from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.  JFF has come up with a really neat stamp/template combo that takes all of the hard work out of the Faux Postage technique...anyway we made up three different sets of floral stamped panels and I have just this week put one together into a card! Although the bottom quadrant of the stamped panel is covered by the S4-229 Labels Five panel I thought it was the best way to get a sentiment onto the front of the card without the card front being just a jumble of layers and images...

I am getting all sorts of caught up!

Well our sweet little blessing is a very stubborn baby and is now three days over due! LOL I am feeling good but must admit I am SERIOUSLY AGITATED tonight...I just want to get it over with already! I am just feeling a bit out of sorts...luckily we have friends coming to visit in a few minutes and I have planned to make them some banana splits! It is horribly hot and humid here today so I think a nice cold banana split will cheer us ALL up! :)

And since the baby is not yet here I have been able to get caught up on all sorts of stuff....I mailed out five packages and two cards today!!! The postage alone was nearly forty dollars!! WOW has postage gone up or WHAT???

Anywhooo...I made a cute little set for my friend Hilary's son...I had told her I would send him a little secret pal RAK THREE MONTHS AGO and it totally slipped my mind! So today I decided it was HIGH TIME I got busy and made him a fun little gift...so this is what I made! I filled the bag with candy and side walk chalk.... Enjoy!

We Remember...and We Thank You For Your Service

On Thursday I decided that it would be nice to make a card for each of the men or women in our church who have served so selflessly in the US Military...so I emailed my pastor for a list of names...we go to a very small church of about 120 or so...so in my mind I didn't think there would be too many....I could think of a HANDFUL of people...well the list came back and it had about TWENTY NAMES ON IT!!! Ahhhh, so here I find myself with this great idea and not much time to execute it! LOL I had previous commitments that kept me from doing anything until today! Well I knew I wanted to use the "We Remember Stamp Set" from Cornish Heritage Farms...all I needed now was some layout inspiration... lo and behold Unscripted Sketches came to my rescue!!! This week's sketch, US07, was PERFECT for this simple card...(I hope they don't mind that I used my Stars 5 Die from Spellbinders instead of a flower!!!)....and so I will make four or six of these cards...then figure out a few more designs to make up the rest...stay tuned! LOL  Enjoy!
