Today it is sorta cool...if I try really hard and I can pretend it is October....I am originally from the North and I can recall crisp October afternoons that just smelled like Autumn and tasted even better...Yesterday I cut up and cooked down a LAUNDRY BASKET FULL of apples...the last batch cooked overnight on low and has made the house smell especially delicious. However I live in the South now...we are still in the 80's each day and it is only cool FIRST thing in the morning! LOL And to add injury to insult...we don't have any "fall foliage" yet...some years we don't really get any foliage to speak of...so today I decided to create my own. Betsy over at Innovative Stamp Creations had sent me this Maple Tree Paintings set (thanks Betsy!) almost six weeks ago and I am JUST NOW using it for the first time! UGH!! That is almost a sin!! But today I wanted to do something to celebrate the beauty of this season even if we are still in shorts here in the south...so here is my card! There are a few things I want to point out...the ribbon...that was WHITE SHEER RIBBON that I colore with my E79 Cashew Copic Marker...neat huh? Then the layer under the main image...that is Cool Copper Linen Weave by Magic Mesh...isn't it nice how it adds an almost "translucent layer" to the entire project?? Enjoy~
