CPS this week! It felt sooo good to have time to do the CPS sketch this week, it is like a bit of Heaven on Earth!!! I can't tell you how much I miss being a part of it all over there...I have a secret hope that I can get back on the team once I have some "back up parent power" home once again!
Anyway, this week's sponsor over at CPS is Papertrey Ink, and although I am not on the CPS team I have a few sets from PTI from when they had sponsored CPS in times past... :) This card uses Background Basics : Retro & Mixed Messages. Both are VERY versatile stamp sets and are really fun to use! I decided to keep it all really simple as you can see...sometimes simple is just what you need, right? I decided to add just a hint of interest by layering up SpellbindersTM Labels Five with Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles, nifty huh?
This card will be heading to NC to a friends father who has suffered a spinal cord injury of sorts. Kinda like a virus or something attacked his spinal cord and he has been left with out feeling from his waist down. He has been in a rehabilitation center for a few months now and as you can guess, it is not the most fun place to spend your days. I would like to ask any of you reading if you would consider sending him a card?? If so, please take down this address and pop one in the mail to him...let's show him what we cardmakers are made of!
