This month marks Pink Persimmon's first Birthday and they are THROWING A PARTY ALL MONTH LONG!!! :) They have challenges and prizes planned for all sorts of fun all month long! This week is the The PINK and ORANGE Challenge here are the details! ( And the details can be found here too. )

June 1st thru June 12th
The PINK and ORANGE Challenge. Create a card, layout, home decor, or any type of art, as long as it uses the colors of Pink and Orange.  Link your image to a comment in the blog post and we'll do a random draw from all the participants on June 13th.   Winning Prize: $25 gift certificate to the store, plus the 2009 Stamping Ideas book from Scrapbook Trends.

My Gift Bag

Ok so I thought I would have been back on here earlier than this but I guess it is better late than never right?? LOL

Here is my gift bag that I made using Pink Persimmon's Small Banner Set. And while the stamps are SUPPOSED to be banner triangles, I thought they could certainly pass as Christmas Trees! :) I inked up just a portion of the ric rac image that comes in the set for the wonky tree trunks. :) HOW FUN right??
I also wanted to show how you can create a cute focal point and thought my new set of Labels Two from Spellbinders did just that. I love using my dies to just give my projects that special added touch! :)

You know how I love to  make the package as fun as the gift inside...I bet you would never have guessed this entire package cost less than fifty cents to make! The bag was a plain red paper bag from Walmart (twenty cents in the card aisle)..then bits of ribbon, a few scraps of cardstock and three bits of bling and boom...done! :) Enjoy!

Have you been to Pink Persimmon today?

Over at Pink Persimmon I am December's Guest Designer!!! :)  I will load my first project tomorrow and I hope to get a little tutorial done up for the stamping part of it as well...keep those fingers crossed! :)

On a more personal note: My kidneys have chilled out and I have has less pain and discomfort for about five days!

I also had three glorious days last week where I didn't throw up and hardly gagged at all! I hit 13 weeks tomorrow so I am hoping this means that I am seeing the end of the tunnel with all this pregnancy icky sicky!!! :) I am so ready to rejoin the world of high productivity & good energy levels...you have no idea. Ok well you have some idea as you can see how the last few weeks I have barely managed to keep this blog afloat! LOL But anyway, I am hoping to have some time, energy and mojo all at the SAME TIME this week and get some new stamps inked up! :) I have a few sets that are sitting here begging me to take them out and create something with them!!!

I know sometimes we get "stuck in the rut" of making a home made card and just letting it sit there...well this time I wanted "THE WHOLE PACKAGE" so to speak. Remember this card?

Well last week I whipped up some matching wrapping paper and a gift tag too! Now remember this is for a 15 year old guy...so you can not get TOO FANCY or it will not "work"! LOL So why not just take a bit of Kraft paper and stamp stamp stamp!!! I think that although it is just a piece of brown paper it really lends itself to not being too fancy...

Then here is a close up of the tag!

I LOVE THIS ONE! :) My son who will be in a week and a half has been telling EVERYONE he sees "today is my birthday month" from July first on!!! LOL And each day when I check the mail he always asks "Did I get any birthday mail?"...well I could NOT allow one more day to go by without there being mail for him! So I whipped up a card and snuck it down to the mail with me when I went to check the mail...then I said "oh...look who's got mail!!!!" He was thrilled....anyway, long story to say, I had to think of what he would like and since he has a bright cheery personality and smile I made this bright and cheery card!!! :) And what is weirder is that it actually works for the CPS card last week without even realizing it! I am loving these fun images from Pink Persimmon..these are from Little Cuties & Ric Rac Circle.

More Pink Persimmon

Well here I am again, with another Pink Persimmon card...tell me these images are not cute???!!!! I love this little Scottie Dog image...it is part of the Little Cuties stamp set... and the Happy Birthday is from Ric Rac Circle set. Did you take note of how the sentiment is straight and not curved as you see in the set??? This is the beauty of working with clear images....you can reshape them as you put them onto your block!!! I just kept straightening the image slightly so I could get it to look as straight as you see it there....and remember, if you have a straight sentiment you can totally bend it however you want!! (More on that later on this week...stay tuned!!!)

Anyway, as you can see I have some MAJOR BLING going on here...and for those of you who know me know I do not normally use so much bling..right?? LOL Well I decided to get a little Lea Lawson on you tonight by using my fun new tool - Professional Touch Hot Fix Applicator from Kandi Corp ....no more messy glue dots to deal with, no more gems stuck to EVERYTHING but the project where I wanted it! LOL Oh how I love this little tool!!! Be prepared to hear alot more about this in my coming posts as well! LOL

I have found a new to me stamp company!

Ok just in case you haven't had a chance to enter my BLOG GIVEAWAY here is the link!!

So a few weeks back I was surfing the net and read on Erin K's Blog and she was talking about this new company, Pink Persimmon. Well of course I am intrigued and click the link...what I see was really exciting...fun images, cool colors and I just loved the name of the company!!! LOL Well so I of course thought, "oh what fun these would be to work with!" and Darcy and Judi (Sooo sweet) were happy to work with me and sent me a few sets....I just got them last week but was too busy to do anything until tonight....and of course there is nothing PINK on the entire card! LOL I have a teenage brother who is celebrating his birthday today and I had to make him a card, and yes it si going to be late! LOL Anyway, this card uses three sets, Banner Alphabet Large ( I can not wait to make some scrap pages with this font!), Little Cuties ( these images are the perfect size for creating backgrounds but are large enough to be a main image if used properly), and finally, Ric Rac Circle. I have some other ideas already for these fun images!!! So stay tuned! But for now, Enjoy~
