Scrappy Saturday: Happy Birthday to a "Purr-fectly" Fabulous Person!

Today is Kirsty's birthday! Kirsty is the owner of Pixie Dust Paperie and the coordinator over at City Crafter Challenge Blog! I am so happy to be part of a special blog hop in honor of Kirsty's birthday! We are all posting a birthday card we created for Kirsty! For my card I have used a few scraps I had sitting around still from this month's Pixie Dust Paperie Kit, La Dolce Vita, and I then paired it with a BRAND NEW stamp set from Inky Antics. Baking Kitty is one of the stamp sets in their newest line called the "HoneyPOP Collection". And Inky Antics is ALSO having a blog hop this weekend. While I didn't have time to be part of the actual hop, I did want to promote it because I think these are super clever stamp sets with a "something new" kind of twist....and if you have been around stamping long you know we stampers are always looking for that something new kind of twist!!!! Scrappy Saturday & City Crafter Challenge 41 - Sew Fun

This week's challenge over at City Crafter Challenge Blog is "Sew Fun" - either sew on your project or make your project sewing themed. I thought this was a perfect time to pull out my sewn ruffled ribbon I made a few weeks back...it's the easiest embellishement to make and has such a fun impact, don't you think?  And in an attempt to get into the Scrappy Saturday theme (where I either scrap a layout or use up scraps around my studio) I am also trying desperately to use up some SUPER FUN paper scraps that are just happy both in color and theme. They are by American Crafts and I bought them at my LSS Charleston Scrapbooking. Tell me they don't just make you giggle for SPRING....I miss the warmth and sunshine this week especially...so here's some more SPRING for all you out there who are like me and can't wait to be warm again! LOL :) Enjoy!

Ever been to an online crop??

Well there is one going on at Scrapbook Heaven Forums right now! If you want to pop in and do a challenge or two! :) I did this card using the All About January crop - A. A. Milne's Birthday challenge which was a sketch combined with the challenge to use a number on the front. :) Since my honey's bday is this week I thought it the perfect time to get his card made and ready for him . :) Enjoy!
