Decembrrrrrrrrr first!

Wow so we woke up to cold weather this morning...here in SC it doesn't get "COLD" all that often but today it is!!! We even have a fire going in the fireplace to kinda help take the chill out of the air....

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend up visiting my inlaws! :) I didn't have much online time though and what time I did have was subject to a slooow connection...something was up with my laptop and it just didn't want to join the 21st century of highspeed internet last week! LOL

SOO I have last week's Unscripted Sketches #33 Project that will also serve for the Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge - to make a holiday card or tag! :) Today is also the first day of the Jacksonbelle's 12 Days of Christmas...check out the blog for all the details!

For my tag I used some of the CUTEST winter papers by My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas Collection. I loved how perfectly the fun little snowman fit inside the space of the Labels One dies from Spellbinders. It was like he was made for that spot! LOL Along with the papers from the Jacksonbelle Store you will see I have used some Making Memories Flowers & some May Arts Ribbon. The stamps are all from Impression Obsession's Winter Seals stamp set. Funny how I made this card two weeks ago and it is actually BRRRRR BABY COLD OUTSIDE today! LOL I hope you are having a wonderful and warm day wherever you are and that you take time to enjoy the REASON FOR THE SEASON - JESUS!!!

It's an Unscripted Saturday Sunday!

Well once again my Saturday went a bit haywire and I didn't get time to upload this week's Unscripted Sketches project! I decided to switch things up just a bit and I made a cute little gift bag. I just took the My Mind's Eye Merry Days Of Christmas Paper Kit and used the die cuts and paper to alter a plain old paper bag! :) I did use just a bit of Prism's Exclusive Rosso card stock and added a Petite Scalloped Circle layer between the other die cuts for a bit of added depth! Today we have a fun "trio" sketch over at Unscripted Sketches. Check it out! I decided to go STAMPY!!!! I used some of my favorite images from Impression Obsession. :) Solid Florals is just the ultimate in "classy" and pairing it up with Black, White and another color always makes SUUUUCH a strong statement! Enjoy!

Does anyone else think 2009 is going too fast??

Surely Christmas is not just around the corner...is it??? Well no matter what I tell myself I can not deny that we are now an ENTIRE WEEK INTO NOVEMBER!!! Amazing I tell you, simply amazing!

Well today I have my Unscripted Saturday Sketch card for you! :) The funny part about this card is that I AM THE SKETCH AUTHOR! Woohoo!! I chose to use some of my new goodies from Jacksonbelle today! She got in the fun fun fun new Christmas and Valentine's lines by My Minds Eye...oh so lovely...if you haven't seen em yet, get over there and fall in love right along with me ok??
My main image is one of my favorite Santa images from Impression Obsession. I stamped him then watercolored him. I used the Nesties^TM Long Classic Rectangles dies from Spellbinders^TM. I love that I can just cut them to the length I need and they still look awesome! :D I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, take some time to make a Christmas card or two! Enjoy!

It's a Jacksonbelle Tuesday!

Well here we are...Tuesday...not the beginning of the week, not the middle and no where near the end...Tuesday used to be a boring day...BUT NOT ANYMORE~! :) We have a Tuesday Challenge each week over at the Jacksonbelle Embellishments Blog! This week's challenge is to use Blue, Green, Red & Black - not a problem when MOST of those colors are found in the new Amber Road Collection by Pink Paislee!!! :) I used a BUNCH of stuff from the store on this card but before I go into that...does the layout look familiar?? Tee hee hee it is the Unscripted Sketch for this week! Yeah I had to use it again it was such a fun layout! Ok so let's give you the quick run down of fun goodies on this card - First of course it is a base of Prism Papers...when you have the right color of cardstock you have a GREAT final project...and with the vast array of colors that Prism has in their Prismatics line it is EASY PEASY to color match like a PRO! :) Ok so then I used the Pink Paislee Amber Road papers like I said earlier. The flower is a CUTE CUTE CUTE Prima Homespun Bittle ( I love these flowers!) The ribbon is by May Arts, I tied it to a Daisy D's Picture Hanger. The thing about this ribbon is that it is such a perfect shade of brown...it goes with almost EVERYTHING! I hope you don't get bored with it! LOL Then I also showcased a new set by Renaissance By Design called Strictly Sentiments. Ya have to check out this set...it is FABULOUS!!! My last and final touch was to use more of these delicious Zva Creative embellishments...OH HOW I LOOOOOOVE these taupe colored pearls...talk about CLASSY!!! :) Ahhh it feels good to have time to be creative! :) Enjoy!

Another great sketch has been loaded to the Unscripted Sketches site today! I think you will find it fun and challenging all in one! I decided to go scrappy again...shock..I know! LOL All of my papers are from October Afternoon, gosh I love these papers!!! I used just a few dies from Spellbinders to give my sketch elements some pizaaz, pearls from Prima and ribbon from May Arts and boom, I was done! :) Enjoy~

Fastest Post Ever!!!!

I am heading to bed but wanted to share my Unscripted Sketches card really quickly! :) I found this to be a difficult sketch and am not too pleased with the final result but didn't have time to do up another one...oh well...ya win some, ya loose some! LOL I will be back tomorrow with the details!

Sketch it Saturdays at Unscripted Sketches this week was FUN FUN FUN!!! I got into the studio on Wednesday night and was able to get some ink on my fingers! :) Not only did I get my card done I was able to use some supplies that I haven't had time to use yet! I have had this cute little Dino Stamp set by Basic Grey sitting here for a few MONTHS just waiting to be use...and my Labels Eight by Spellbinders...oh how I love it! I haven't had enough time to use them either! And finally, some fun little gems by Zva Creative...oh love them! I just placed the arrow shape onto my Spring Willow Medium Prismatics cardstock and then trimmed around it! Fun right??Anyway, I hope you have time to play along with us at Unscripted Sketches this week!!

 

Laying low...

Hello my faithful readers! :)

I am admittedly still laying low for a bit. We have found a good groove with school I think and I am still going through the house and organizing from the inside out! What a chore it is to sort through four kids worth of clothing, toys and all that jazz...whew...I do believe I am getting to the end of it all though...wish me luck! LOL

Today at Unscripted Sketches we have a really nifty sketch for you to try out. I decided to make mine a card (surprise, surprise) but this time with a twist! :) I added a pretty little set of earrings as my main focal point. I used a few of my newer dies from Spellbinders... In Spades Pendant and Borderablities...Then pairing it with stamps from Flourishes I felt like the earrings had a perfect base! :) Enjoy!!!
