Ok SERIOUSLY??? WOW! Thanks for all the congrats and whoa what a bunch of CRAZY PEOPLE YOU ARE to win the two sets of Petite Oval Nestabilities!!! YIKES!!! (if you haven't added your name to the list be sure to add it now, you only have until Wed morning!)
Anywho...here is my project I made to help kick off the fun! :) It was supposed to be posted before the big announcement but hey, it's Saturday and I was off doing what any good soccer mom would be doing first thing Saturday morning...I was screaming my heart out, freezing my bum off, cheering my little munchkins on! LOL Without further ado...here is my "go green" fridgemagnet redo! :)
Begin by finding an old advertisement magnet... I got mine from the front of the phone book! NEVER THROW THEM AWAY! LOL
Next Remove the top portion containing the graphics...if you have a hard time separating the top from the magnet, heat it lightly with a heat tool.
Once you have the graphic off apply a liberal amount of glue. I prefer to use glue on my projects for a few reasons, but the main one is that I don't have to fuss with adhesive lifting... Beacon's Zip Dry Paper Glue is like PAPER SUPER GLUE...I love it! I also love Scotch Quick Dry Tacky Glue. FAB STUFF there too!
Before your glue dry, adhere a precut piece of cardstock. And remove all air bubbles by pressing from the middle out to the sides.
Load into your die cut machine and die cut using Petite Scalloped Oval Nestabilities. I currently have a Big Shot and it took about three times through to get it to cut all the way...I can't wait to see how the Wizard does...I hear it has MEGA PRESSURE.... :) I will certainly do a report for you once I have had time to play with it! :D
Once you have cut all the way through, remove it from the die. See here, I now have magnet on the bottom and beautiful Frosted Pink Prismatics cardstock on top...
Cut a Petite Oval of Simply Smooth White cardstock and Emboss.
Ink stamps of your choice with multiple colors of Fluid Chalk Ink by Clearsnap. Here I have used an image from Silhouette Blooms II by Cornish Heritage Farms. I inked it with Dark Moss ink on the leaves and stems and Rouge and Warm Red ink on the blooms.
Stamp your image onto the embossed oval.
Ink just parts of a background of your choice (here I used Spanish Script, by CHF) with Creamy Brown Chalk Ink. Place your embossed oval on top of the stamp and cover with scrap paper. Gently press entire surface to transfer image lightly.
Remove embossed oval from BG stamp.
Sponge edges using a Jumbo Sponge Dauber and Rouge Chalk Ink.
