Layers of Color is hosting a Cake Decorating party and I hope you can come! :) Today the challenge was to do something cake or cupcake themed...fun!
I decided to create a fun stamped cupcake wrap and coordinated cupcake pic. :) I loved that Laura let us do anything "cake themed" and even provided a few fun templates so be sure to hop on over to the LOC BLOG and get a fun cupcake template FREE!
For the wrap I simply stamped images from the Acanthus stamp set along the cupcake wrap, punched the edge with a Fiskers border punch and wrapped it around the cupcake and adhered it. Then I tied a little bow and embellished with a button. :) For the cupcake pic I stamped the sweet little butterfly from Flutterescent twice. One I colored and cut out using my paper snips. The second I colored and then die cut using Spellbinders Labels Two. Prior to removing the die I used the Copic Airbrush System to add a bit of color to the die cut and create a nice white frame to the image. :)
