Hey Everyone! I know I have been on a real jewelry kick with the Connie Crystal lately but today I thought I would switch it up a bit, you know, throw you a curve ball! :) So I decided to showcase the sparkly beauties in a really easy home decor project that will add just the right touch to any spot in the room.
For this project I used a one yard piece of copper wire, and I placed alternating 10mm crystal beads, and pearls onto the wire. When I reached my half way mark with the first half of the crystals and pearls I then placed a 1.5" Teardrop as the center piece and finished threading the rest of the 10mm crystal beads and pearls onto the wire. I then bent the wire about .5" in from each end. I then pressed the first end right into the side of the candle and wrapped the wire around the candle approx. 3 times. And then I pressed the second bent end into the candle on the opposite side. I adjusted the crystal bead and pearls and then using a pair of chain nose pliers I just added little kinks in the wire. This not only helps to keep the beads right where I wanted them, but it also tightened the wire wrap around the candle and also it's a really fun design element! :) All in all it's a quick and fun project. I was going for the "sparkly spa" feel but you could easily do this using earthen tones on a cream candle and have a very rich opulent feel as well...use your imagination...If you try this project I would LOVE to see a link to your take on it! Please leave me a link so I can see too! Enjoy!
